Ketron PEEK is based on resin polyetherthetene. These semi-crystalline and very advanced materials have a unique combination of very good mechanical, temperature and chemical resistance. These factors make Ketron PEEK most popular in "high-performance materials."
Ketron PEEK-1000 (natur / gray-brown and black):
This quality is made from pure PEEK. Of all the features of Ketron this is the toughest with the biggest stroke. Both Ketron PEEK-1000 and black color can be cleaned with steam, dry heat, ethylene oxide and gamma radiation. The raw material used for the Ketron PEEK-1000 natur has been approved by the Japanese organization MITI, including tested with various disassembling and mutagenic agents. The material fully complies with EU guidelines as well as US FDA regulations on plastics that have direct contact with food. This makes it very popular in the food and pharmaceutical industry as well as in pharmaceutical companies.
PEEK features - thanks to many different types - are used in many different applications. The mechanical and chemical benefits that, combined with their status as direct contact materials, make them particularly useful:
Support bearings / under pressure
-Gearwheels
-worm wheel
-hydraulic parts
-Pump parts
-Download disks
-slices
-Generally used in the chemical and food industries
-very high maximum permissible continuous (air) temperatures of 250 ° C at temperatures up to 310 ° C in no time
-High mechanical strength, stiffness and hardness - even at elevated temperatures
-Very resistant to chemicals and hydrolysis
-Very good abrasion and friction properties
-Good dimensional stability
-Resistant to gamma rays and X-rays
-No combustion and very low smoke levels
-Electrical and dielectric
